Mission Statement

As a non-profit natural gas energy cooperative, our mission is to provide a safe, efficient, reliable, and economical energy alternative to all members of Knox Energy Cooperative by properly engineering, installing, maintaining and operating natural gas distribution systems that meet or exceed all Federal and State safety requirements.

As a not-for-profit entity, members purchase gas through the coop at cost as explained in more detail on other pages in the web site. Note that membership is entirely voluntary as opposed to many regulated utilities - water, sewer, electric and gas.
